Assisting with the provision and maintenance I.T and related support in the Hotel.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Fully familiarised with all hotel and company policies, as well as hotel programmes offered such as Loyalty programmes, audit and service measurement programmes and merit awards.
- Provide support of Computer Hardware and Software, and general computer support for all.
- The installation and configuration of equipment
- Fault diagnosis and repairs of IT Equipment.
- Computer Hardware and Software Inventories.
- Record serial numbers and product keys of installed and replaced equipment/software.
- Set up and configure Computers and other equipment according to the department documentation and standards.
- Point of Sale technical support.
- Active Directory domain administration.
- Exchange and all e-mail administration.
- Applications (OPERA, MICROS. SAGE, etc.) administration.
- Administering user access and creating user profiles.
- Managing (creating, moving, modifying) user profiles.
- Mimecast Domain and Mailbox administration.
- Diagnose and repair faults, and apply service packs, patches and fixes according to the department documentation, standards and requirements.
- Assisting in IT Projects (research, preparation and testing).
- Identifying the hardware and software needed to provide solutions to problems.
- Installing and downloading appropriate software. Connecting users to networks and providing initial training in facilities and applications.
- Making sure users can use the equipment, by providing personal tuition and self-help instructions.
- Liaison with Vendors and Clients.
- Undertaking housekeeping procedures (including backup) and reporting functions for the area of responsibility; including morning checklists of backups and all relative operational equipment.
- Establish and control systems access and security.
- Check systems to optimize performance and initiate recovery action after system failures.
- Maintain the housekeeping of the data centre/server room; ensuring it’s tidy and clean at all times.
- Participate in company and hotel induction and refresher programmes.
- Maintains effective working relationships and ensures that the work is performed with diligence and accuracy.
- Liaises with other departments in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Ensures that all laws, regulations, licenses and Company policies about the operation of the department are adhered to.
Requirments:
- Minimum academic qualification of OND in any related discipline
- MInimum of 1 year of proven work experience
- Excellent interperonal and people skills
